Hi, everyone!
I’m a research assistant at the University of Rijeka, where I also started my PhD advised by Lado Kranjčević, back in January 2025. My research revolves around artificial intelligence applications in water distribution systems (see my papers so far). Before that, I was at Jungheinrich (warehouse logistics automation) and earlier at dSPACE (automotive simulation and automation), where I worked on R&D machine learning projects and software development.
I have a master’s degree in engineering from the Faculty of Engineering in Rijeka, where over the course of my studies (2016-2021) my interest leaned heavily toward computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and numerical simulations. During this period I also developed a massive interest in computer science, specifically artificial intelligence, which led me to self-study this broad topic. Along the way, I worked through a bunch of books and courses in machine learning, deep learning, optimization, high-performance computing, statistics, and many more.
I started this blog mainly as a way to write about artificial intelligence, math and computer science topics that I find interesting, but also to express my ideas and meet new interesting people. I rotate hobbies often, and I’ve been captivated by a lot of activities, but the ones that stuck for many years are cooking, writing, fitness and boxing. I also own a consultancy business focused on custom algorithm development, machine learning solutions and research support.
